Mattie and MaMa went trick or treating to a few houses. Nona and PaPa David stayed with "Little Man" and opened our door to the kiddies. Daddy had to work. Mattie finally got the hang of it at the second to last house. She was able to reach into this candy dish and grab a piece and place it in her "punkin". There were some "unsafe" candy dishes, but MaMa carried her own stash. I think next year she will have the hang of it for sure!! Elijah will be 1 and she will be 2 1/2. Can't wait to take them both out next year!!
Mattie was a UGA cheerleader and wore her red and black proudly. She can chant the cheer "GOOOOO DAWGS SIC'EM WOFF WOFF" My favorite word is "sickeem". She is so cute!!

Elijah is two weeks old! He is already 8lbs5oz and is 21inches long. He loves to eat his bottles, but has gotten really fussy. We are still using premiee bottle nipples and he is choking less frequently so we are glad. We will be switching to regular bottles next week. We switched his formula and hope this helps him rest more peacefully at night. He sleeps great and peaceful during the day and at night he whines and fidgets. Hopefully, the new formula will help resolve some of his discomfort.
Mattie is very sweet to Elijah. She checks on him in the pack-n-play and loves to see him when she wakes up in the morning! Her tantrums are decreasing as well. I took her to a regular check up at the ENT and she has an ear infection. Poor thing! We did not even notice. Thank Goodness for that appointment! She seems to be in a much better mood since the antibiotics have started. Mattie loves school! She goes to our church for a few hours on Monday and Friday. Daddy has been taking her since he has been off and is amazed at how she runs off to "PLAY" while the other kids are crying. Her teacher sent home a very nice note about how she is a great helper at school and she knows the class routine. We are proud of our big girl!

Elijah is home!! We brought him home Tuesday around lunch time. Mama took Elijah to the doctor Thursday and he is doing great! He is almost up to his birth weight of 7lbs8oz. Elijah has been choking on his bottles so the doctor gave us some preemie nipples to help slow the flow of the milk and gave us some diaper cream for his bad rash. I noticed this rash in the hospital when it was beginning and now it's pretty intense. Elijah is a great baby! Mattie is sweet to him and likes to touch is hair. Mattie is VERY clingy to Daddy right now. I am trying to do a lot more with her to help her get used to me because Daddy heads off to work soon. She has also started some awful tantrums. They started when we went to the hospital. I've never left her that long before and we kept leaving her to go visit the hospital. We are hoping these fits get better soon as she gets back into a routine. Any advice would be great! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for Elijah! We hope you enjoy the pictures.

Elijah Eugene came into this world on October 7th at 12:21 weighing 7 lb 8 oz and was 19.5 inches long. On the 6th momma started itching so she went to the doctor for a non stress test which Elijah failed and momma didn't feel strong movements either so the doctor sent us to the hospital to induce labor. Elijah is a fighter but unfortunately his lungs were still premature at 36 weeks and 5 days. He spent one night in the NICU before getting to move the intermediate care nursery. We are eagerly awaiting his discharge and homecoming as soon as he starts breathing less rapidly and starts eating better. Each time we visit he is getting stronger and more alert. We love our JIJAH !!!! (That's what Mattie calls her little brother).

Mattie and Elijah had great appointments this week! We will have an ultrasound at 37 weeks to check out Elijah's predicted weight. Still no Choleostasis!! Yeah for Mommy and Elijah!!!
Mattie was put on some allergy medications so we are hoping this will help her feel better which will allow her to nap better which in return helps her mood!! She is still measuring 97th percentile for her height which is says she is tall. Matt and I are impressed with this since we are short. I wonder how long this will last? Her weight is 24lbs which is good too!
Enjoy the pictures. Mattie is wearing her "I'm a big sister shirt".

Pictures of Mattie....
We are doing good! Mattie has another cold and cough. It does not slow her down much except she gets less sleep which means less sleep for mommy and daddy. I wish she could stay well longer before she gets her next cold!! Mattie goes to the MD for her 18 month old check up next week and Momma goes to the OB so we will have updates soon.
Keep us in your prayers. Still no signs of Choleostasis! Truly a blessing!!!
